Review: Motorola Razr

Overview, design and feel
Those familiar with the Motorola Razr is back, but this time is reinvented with Android 2.3.5, an 8 megapixel camera with HD recording and an ultra thin frame is only 7.1 mm.
It does not make the thinnest phone in the world when there is still a thick end to the top of the phone - but since you do not keep the title, it certainly feels thin.
But the concept of most components in the upper felt a little weird balance in hand, but it's only 127g heavier (by the way, was the original Razr 95g - but do not have GPS, Wi- Fi, 3G or a camera on board.)

The screen is also a spectacle designed to display a large number of frame around the screen. This means that, in spite of a-4.3 inches in size, appear smaller than the corresponding screens.
Do not take anything away from Super AMOLED technology is used, because it is top notch, we can QHD resolution (960 x 540), and light colors and sharp making it a joy to use.
Odder design of the phone is a little, however: it is a very edgy design, and elements such as the Power / Lock button to take suggestions on the likes of Milestone area, with a coating of gold and ridges, will help us in hand .
The front of the phone is very low population density, as we have come to expect many phones at the moment - we're talking about a front facing camera (1.3 MP) and the four buttons on Android. We are always happy to see added to the search key and background research for things like music or emails much easier.
The top of the phone has three ports: slot 3.5 mm headphone jack, microUSB port and a mini HDMI, which unfortunately are not in the box, but allows you to pump the contents of a screen.
And 'unibody enclosure, apparently to maintain a very subtle design - this means that you can not use the battery or back down. The only way to remove the microSD card or MicroSim that this phone has to pull down a small side of the flap. However, we encountered no freezes ever so necessary to extract the battery and the SD card and create too was super painless.
The Motorola logo on top may be better in our opinion, since he retired after a few days of use.
There is a button on the camera itself, but the 8-megapixel sensor on the back is joined by a simple (but brilliant) LED flash and the speaker grill, offering up a noise loud enough for a small opening.
We found the big screen was OK to maneuver around with one hand - we had to stretch to reach items on the other side of the screen, but overall was very good and easy to use.
Interface
Moto Android flayed within an inch of his life on the Motorola Razr, and while it does not provide the name changed UI, it is still fairly new.
Let's start with the positive: so many of the 1.2 GHz dual-core mobile phones on the market, whips across the screen at home without any problem at all, and specializes in opening and closing of a number of applications, no matter how many you have open at a time.
There is a hint "to see all the startup screens in the option once here, but they are dragged from the bottom of the screen to view all the screens in one place. It's sad that you can add more screens start, and stick with the basic five, because there are many players that want to play with what quickly fill the space.
There is an easy way to remedy this, by Motorola: you can change the size of each widget to make it more or less, depending on the type of application. This means that you can see more or fewer calendar, incoming messages or emails, and so can Chuck in a few more things.
However, this is not the best system, since some widgets (like music), just do not want to resize.
Notifications bar (accessible by pulling down the top of the screen) is a bit 'different also - unfortunately, are not monitored on offer with it, so you have to jump in the options menu, or put the widget homescreen to activate the Wi-Fi, and so on.
And if you get a message that there is a preview of the drop-down menu, or, which is strange when so many other phones to manage. We are not big fans of "Entry" signs next to each statement, which allows the alarm to say clearly - this ugly, and are available, we prefer to swipe, etc..
Calling and contacts
Contacts
The system of contacts on the Motorola Razr is not very different from most other Android phones on the market, with the ability to join and separate the accounts of one person available.
As the range Samsung is not the easiest thing in the world to combine your friend - you press the menu button once in their profile and click on "Join" to choose from the list of social networking account that may be. And 'away from the ease with which it manages the HTC HTC Sense.
If you already have a lot of information on the address of the card, then it is sometimes necessary to dig even deeper to find the "Join", which can be irritating if you have hundreds of people on the phone ... you're lucky, a popular thing to you.
However, there is a rather clever widget on the home screen that lets you select your best friends and were arranged in a grid view when you want, making it much easier to keep in touch.
Call
We have a little 'tired to say the call quality is "fine" in smartphones today, and usually all of us to comment on the volume of the speakerphone.
However, there is a specific problem with the headset into the Motorola Razr, how to make a call means that you can hear a "chirping", almost like a slight echo whenever the sound is in the ear, which is a tedious and ruins of the premium feel of the phone.
But we can not really blame the Razr, small as it was above average to maintain the signal, even in areas where we previously have struggled to turn.
There is also an intelligent call too, so when you run the easy to use dialing function, simply press the corresponding letters on behalf of people 'on the phone and the RAZR will work out of possible matches, which makes it very easy to people search, you mean.
Posts
Motorola RAZR set of messaging capabilities are as good as all the other Android-end, which means that you can connect up to the likes of corporate email on Exchange, web mail (Yahoo, Windows Live Mail and Google, all supported from beginning), Facebook and Twitter.
How Razr beats most competitors is the ability to combine these messages to an easy to use box where all the messages from all accounts will be visible in one place.
This is a little awkward in practice, since it is not always easy to get the universal inbox without a couple of taps. For example, you have to pop in "Messages" before they can access the icon to open the message list, and no way to put an icon of universal inbox on your home screen.
A widget is meant to solve this problem, but this is a list of messages invisible and brings you directly to the same message center, where you have to click again the universal inbox. And 'when asked if you want to change the settings of the widget, so it is easy to see all your messages.
It looks like Samsung S2 Galaxy in this regard, with its myriad steps to jump into all your messages (and problems synchronizing them all at once) and pales in comparison with the likes of the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and Torch 9810, both are very easy to use methods to see all your messages in one place.
But we like the fact that you support for your messages offline social networking - to be able to view and respond to messages offline and Facebook without opening the app is a big plus.
There are two pre-installed on keyboards Motorola RAZR with standard multi-touch option (based on the keyboard Gingerbread Google) and Swype on offer. Many people prefer to use Swype, as shown a popular choice - and we found it to be as good as any other iteration of combined alternative.
We prefer multi-touch keyboard, though - the forecast was quite good and the automatic correction of most of the money. We encourage you to look at some of the other decent keyboard on Android Market, such as X SwiftKey they can improve your typing speed as well.
Internet
You may have noticed, we are supporters of the browser on many Android phones, and Motorola Razr is no exception.
With 4.3-inch screen Super AMOLED, the words and the images are sharp and easy to read, even when zoomed out, with QHD resolution has also improved.
The 1.2 GHz processor is also damn good to rush through the web pages when the song also jump from one place to another without losing momentum.
