TRAI Has Increased The Limit Of 200 SMS Text Messages A Day

TRAI limit raised to 200 SMS text messages a day  

Telecom customers will now be able to send up to 200 text messages a day from a SIM card from the previous limit of only 100 text messages per day imposed by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

"The authority has received representations from some service providers and consumers to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day per SIM card. The authority considered that these representations and has decided to increase the limit of 100 SMS per day per card SIM SMS to 200 per day per SIM card, "Trai said in a statement.
