Heaven welcomes competition from Netflix and Lovefilm

Sky estimates that is home to the driver when it comes to film transfer, considering the competition from the likes of LOVEFiLM and Netflix will soon bring the UK to improve services.

Speaking to TechRadar, Ian Lewis - Director of Sky Movies and Sky Box Office - welcomed the arrival of new ways to watch movies, and explained that this was part of the reason for the great strides being made in the way you can eat on different platforms Sky Movies.

"I think we've always been a great driver," Lewis said. "I believe that competition is better than the competition and has always been a great incentive for us, and we can never forget that each customer has made the decision to Sky Movies.

"So I think it's great that other companies are coming and that will make us better as a result."

Quality, not quantity

Lewis believes that the quality, not quantity is always crucial and that the relationships built over the years with all sectors of the film industry is airspace prominently.

"It's important for us to stand out," he added. "I think we are in the driver's seat - we have this quality.

"Lovefilm has more screens available, but I knew it would be the library I have most of the library they have.

"I hope we have good relationships with content partners, had a small studio or independent producers, but we have to choose the quality, because we are able to purchase all the content all the time.

"My motivation to wake up every morning is" what is the best film for my clients, "and that there will always be crucial.

"The definition of quality is what customers want, whether it is a wide selection of family films, winning the Palme d'Or, or the latest blockbuster movies."

Sky Movies is now available in a number of key platforms via Sky Jump, including IOS devices like the iPhone and the iPad, and the Xbox and PC.
