Exclusive: Sky talks downloadable content for tablets and phones
Sky customers can download content on their mobile phones and tablets to see when they are offline at this time next year, even if the company is not ready to propose an effective date.

Speaking at the event Sky News, Ian Lewis, director of Sky Movies and Sky Box Office, asking that the work had progressed to allow Sky customers can download movies and TV to their devices.

At the time, you can download the contents of a laptop, but not tablets or mobile phones - and this is something that Sky wants to offer, even without a fixed date of arrival.

"I would not put a date on this, but do not think I will be asking that question in a year," joked Lewis.

"But not me, it set a timetable."

Olympian effort

Apparently a comment to give us the opportunity to put a timeframe for it, however, so we are confident that 2012 not only bring the Olympic Games, but also to download the movies to spend time sitting on trains stuck-up, all they have left outside to watch the games.

Lewis told Tech Radar that the rapid development in a way that Sky allow its customers to consume the content was to continue in the coming months.

"When we arrived at 10 million subscribers, which was the same week, we launched at any time the week before in 3D," he said.

"It's just a part of the cloud to be on the lookout for the next thing, and we already know what we plan to do in December and March.

"In 12 months we will be sure to show even more innovations."
