Occasionally, you may experience an
an error which causes any image file you try to
save to be saved as a bitmap (.BMP) file,
regardless of the orginal file type. Generally, this
is caused by an excessively large internet cache,
which is created by Internet’s Explorer’s attempts
to save every file you open on the local hard
drive.
1.) Click “Tools” on the Internet Explorer toolbar.
2.) Click “Internet Options.” A dialog box will
appear.
3.) Click the button marked “Delete Files.”
4.) The mouse cursor will change to an
hourglass until the operation is complete. If your
internet cache is large, this may take several
minutes.
5.) When the hourglass cursor disappears, click
“Delete Cookies.”
6.) Click “OK.”
7.) Reboot.
Attempt to save an image file. You should now
have the option to save it in the original format.
