How to Insert SIM Card in iPhone 4
iPhone 4 is the descendant to the iPhone 3GS produced by Apple Inc and is the fourth generation of iPhone. It runs Apple’s iOS operating system. It has got 640 x 960 pixels and 3.5 inches screen which is supposed to be scratch resistant in nature along with multi touch input method and also has an internal memory which supports up to 32 GB of storage space.
The stand by time of the battery is said to be 300 hours for both 2G and 3G versions with talk time up to 14 hours in 2G and 7 hours in 3G. And it is also said that both music and videos can be played up to 40 hours in a stretch. It was announced on June 7, 2010, and was released on June 24, 2010 in the United States, France, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom.
Things required to Insert SIM Card in iPhone 4
- Micro SIM card – iPhone 4 supports micro SIM card only. If you have a normal SIM card, you have to cut it to fit the SIM card slot in iPhone 4 using a SIM cutter. The normal SIM card size is 25mm x 15mm where as the micro SIM card is of 15mm x 12mm in size.
- SIM eject tool or common pin
Steps to follow
- Switch off iPhone 4 before inserting the micro SIM card.
- The SIM tray is present on the right side in iPhone 4.
- Insert SIM eject tool into the hole you see on the SIM tray, and then press it towards inside slowly to open it. Instead of SIM eject tool, you can also use common pin or a straightened paper clip.
- Now place the micro SIM card in the SIM tray and thrust back the tray into the iPhone. Don’t push it so hard that it breaks internally, but checkout slowly how much it requires.
- Switch it on and now you are ready to use your iPhone 4 with your new SIM card in it.
By default most of the iPhones come integrated with the service provider. So checkout the supported SIM cards your iPhone accepts. Otherwise you may like to have your iPhone jailbreaked before you can use the SIM card of your choice.
